Your mileage may vary, but here’s one rule of thumb: if you’ve heard of the “Thor Protector of Lesbians” meme before consider whether that character would be effeminate if they had a bed full of soft plushies.

If Thor could have plushies, wear makeup and a dress, and still be butch, so can you.

You can do anything with your gender and presentation that makes you feel like your best self.

And if you think you can’t, imagine some other character or person whose version of masculinity resonates with you, then imagine them doing that thing you like. If you can imagine them doing it, you can probably do it too and deserve to feel good about it.
